La Halle des Épinettes

cultural

La Halle des Épinettes stands out with its long, industrial roof line and wide glass panes, framed by the dark steel typical of early twentieth century workshops. It began as a repair depot for the Paris tramway system, keeping the cars running as the city expanded outward. Workers spent their days maintaining the heavy undercarriages and motors here. Today, the building houses a public space, but the skeleton of those original iron trusses remains exposed under the ceiling, holding the history of the neighborhood.
