Issy Cœur de Ville

Before Issy Cœur de Ville existed, this ground served a very different purpose. For decades, the site was occupied by the National Center for Telecommunications Studies, known as the CNET. It functioned as a massive, closed-off laboratory complex that was instrumental in French technological history. Inside these walls, engineers developed groundbreaking innovations like the Minitel, an early online service that brought digital communication to millions of French homes long before the widespread internet. When the center eventually closed, it left behind a vast, isolated slab of concrete that physically cut off parts of the town from one another.
