Parc André Citroën

Before this site became a public park, it was a major industrial powerhouse. During the First World War, André Citroën established a factory here to produce munitions for the French military. Following the conflict, he pivoted his operations to build the first mass-produced automobiles in Europe. For decades, the site remained the beating heart of the Citroën brand, with thousands of workers assembling legendary vehicles on these very grounds until the plant finally closed its doors in the nineteen seventies.
