The Bukom Boxing Arena features a jagged, concrete roofline that mimics the shape of a fighter throwing a punch. Built in two thousand sixteen, the facility replaced a collection of informal neighborhood gyms where generations of Accra residents trained on dirt floors. Local promoter Nii Ayitey was the driving force behind the construction, convinced that Bukom needed a dedicated venue to host its professional talent. Fighters like Azumah Nelson climbed from these streets to world titles before this structure existed.
