Dillon Whiskey Bar occupies one of the oldest wooden houses in downtown Reykjavik, painted a distinct, sharp black with white trim. Built in eighteen thirty-five, the structure served as the home for Johannes Nordal, a merchant who played a major part in the city's early commerce. Before it became a destination for whiskey enthusiasts, the house endured multiple moves across the city center, a common fate for Reykjavik's timber buildings, before landing on its current foundation on Laugavegur street.
