Puri Saren Agung Ubud ( Puri Saren Ubud )

The Puri Saren Agung is a sprawling complex of traditional Balinese architecture identifiable by its intricate red brick gates and the elaborate stone carvings that decorate the walls. Built in the early nineteenth century, it served as the official residence of the Ubud royal family. Tjokorda Gede Agung Sukawati, a former king, turned the palace into a hub for international artists and travelers in the twenties, effectively transforming a private royal compound into the primary center for Balinese dance and performing arts.
