Umbi Cafe Bali

Umbi Cafe sits tucked behind a wall of overgrown ferns and bamboo, marked by a low, curved wooden roof thatched with thick alang-alang grass. The structure occupies a sliver of land that drops sharply toward the Ayung River valley. While most cafes in Sayan prioritize open views for tourists, this space centers on a single, massive banyan tree that grew through the center of the kitchen floor before the walls went up. The cook, Made, still leaves the daily offerings at the base.
