A row of hand-painted pottery sets in the window, each cup and bowl displaying the deep, rich colors of traditional Kyoto glazing. This studio operates as an extension of the Zuikou kiln, established in nineteen sixty-two to preserve techniques of Kiyomizu-yaki ceramics. While the workshop produces refined tea bowls and vessels, it functions primarily as a space for visitors to shape their own clay on a potter's wheel. One instructor helps guests center their work, finishing the pieces later in the studio kiln.
