A wooden shop facade stands on this street, marked by a faded sign advertising yame—a type of hard candy. This building houses Minatoya Yurei Kosodateame Honpo, where the same sweet has been sold since the sixteenth century. Legend says a ghost once visited this shop every night to purchase candy for her infant, whom she had buried alive to save. The shopkeeper followed her to the grave, where he discovered the baby alive and fed by the treats, starting a centuries-long family tradition.
