Dyen Sabai Restaurant

Dyen Sabai Restaurant sits across the Nam Khan River, reached by a narrow bamboo bridge that is dismantled every rainy season. The restaurant occupies a series of open-air wooden platforms tucked into the dense tropical bamboo forest. It started when a local family wanted to showcase traditional Lao ingredients like river weed, lemongrass, and sticky rice prepared in banana leaves. Guests sit on low floor cushions while the forest sounds provide the backdrop for meals cooked over charcoal fires.
