The Weaving Sisters shop features a low-slung wooden exterior and a traditional peaked roof that marks the intersection of generations. Carol Cassidy founded this studio in nineteen ninety to revive the dying art of hand-woven silk in Laos. Before the shop existed, local weavers struggled to find markets for their intricate, time-consuming techniques. Cassidy collaborated with village artisans to combine antique motifs with modern design, creating a space where the rhythm of wooden looms defines the workday.
