Edificio De el Parque

The Edificio del Parque stands out for its curved, corner-hugging glass facade that wraps around the intersection of Avenida México and Michoacán. Built in the late nineteen thirties, the structure marks a departure from the heavy, colonial styles that dominated Mexico City for centuries. Architect Francisco J. Serrano designed it to serve as a bridge between the old neighborhood of Hipódromo and the modern functionalist movement. Its white, geometric lines follow the natural arc of the park opposite, mimicking the curve of the street.
