Pharmacy Museum

The Pharmacy Museum in Wroclaw occupies a narrow, four-story building with a facade featuring a distinctive, ornate stone portal carved with the image of a pelican feeding its young. This structure served as a pharmacy continuously from the early fourteenth century until nineteen fifty-one. Inside, the original wooden drawers, hand-painted ceramic jars, and alchemical laboratory equipment remain exactly where they were kept by generations of apothecaries, documenting how medicines were prepared by hand using herbs, roots, and minerals long before industrial manufacturing existed.
