Palace of Antiochos

The Palace of Antiochos appears as a series of heavy, red brick arches embedded into the modern street level of Binbirdirek. Built in the early fifth century by a powerful eunuch serving the imperial court, this structure once served as a private residence for the city's elite. Antiochos eventually lost favor with the empress and fell from power, leading to his exile and the confiscation of his home. The building later transitioned into a church and a funerary chapel for high-ranking officials.
