Büyük Yeni Han

Büyük Yeni Han features a distinctive, three-story courtyard structure with arched galleries that wrap around a central open space. Built in the seventeen sixties by Sultan Mustafa the Third, it served as a bustling commercial hub for merchants dealing in silk and textiles. During the nineteenth century, it became a primary site for the city's metalworkers and engravers. A heavy iron door still protects the main entrance, concealing the workshops where artisans once hammered copper and brass for the markets of Istanbul.
