Neve Shalom Synagogue

religious

The Neve Shalom Synagogue displays a distinctive, large dome that rises above the surrounding buildings in the Galata neighborhood. Built in nineteen fifty-one, it serves as the primary gathering place for the city's Sephardic Jewish community. The building occupies the site of an old school courtyard. Its construction began when the growing Jewish population needed a larger place of worship, and it remains the central synagogue for religious ceremonies and weddings for families across the entire city of Istanbul.
