Nakşiler Zincirli Han

other

Zincirli Han features a heavy iron chain hanging above its stone entrance arch. Built in the early eighteenth century, this caravanserai served as a vital stop for silk merchants traveling through the Grand Bazaar district. Behind the heavy wooden doors, two stories of stone rooms surround a quiet, open courtyard where traders once stabled their horses and stored precious goods. Its walls still hold the indentations where iron rings were fixed to tether pack animals after a long day on the road.
