The Ralli Apartmanı stands out in Harbiye because of its heavy, neo-classical limestone facade and the distinctive row of tall, arched windows spanning its lower floors. Built in nineteen eleven by the Greek architect Nikolaos Dimadis, the building served as a grand residence for the Ralli family, prominent bankers to the Ottoman court. During the First World War, the authorities seized the structure to use as a military headquarters, forcing the family out until the conflict ended and they reclaimed their home.
