King's Stairs Gardens

King's Stairs Gardens takes its name from the historic riverside access point once used by King Edward the Third. In the fourteenth century, the monarch utilized these stairs to travel from his manor house in Rotherhithe directly onto the River Thames. The park today occupies the land that links the city's green space to the water, preserving a connection to the river that dates back centuries.
