Lillie Hall

Lillie Hall was a disused roller skating rink located off Seagrave Road that gained historical significance in 1903. It served as the first car showroom for Charles Rolls, the pioneering aviator who later co-founded the world-renowned Rolls-Royce company. Inside this space, Rolls sold imported French Peugeot and Belgian Minerva vehicles. The site was fully equipped with a garage capable of performing specialized repairs and even dispatched a designated hospital car to provide roadside assistance to motorists in distress. This humble rink acted as the birthplace of an automotive empire before the company moved its primary operations to the West End.
