Vauxhall City Farm

Vauxhall City Farm began in nineteen seventy-seven as a makeshift project called Jubilee City Farm. A group of architects who were squatting in nearby houses on Saint Oswalds Place decided to reclaim a derelict, rubble-strewn wasteland left behind by mass housing demolitions. They cleared the site themselves, building a community garden and bringing in the first livestock, which included a turkey named Adolf and a fox named Basil.
