Tamplin Mews Gardens

The residential space known as Tamplin Mews occupies a site that once served as a complex of private stables and carriage houses during the late nineteenth century. These structures belonged to the nearby grand houses of Maida Vale, providing a utilitarian service for the wealthy residents who required storage for horses and coaches. The architecture retains the distinctive high doorways and loading arches that allowed carriages to pass directly into the courtyard area for maintenance and housing.
