Marble Arch Mound

The Marble Arch Mound was a twenty-five-meter-tall artificial hill constructed in two thousand twenty-one as a temporary tourist attraction. Built primarily from scaffolding and covered in sedum turf and trees, it stood as a bold attempt by the local council to draw visitors back to the city center following the pandemic lockdowns. Its design featured a winding path to a viewing platform, meant to offer perspectives of Hyde Park and Oxford Street that had never been accessible to the public before.
