The Old Police House

The Paddington Green Police Station was once the most secure interrogation center in the United Kingdom. Completed in nineteen seventy-one, its brutalist concrete structure was designed specifically to hold high-profile terrorism suspects, including members of the Irish Republican Army and those involved in major global plots. The site was known for its sixteen underground, windowless cells which were purposefully isolated from the rest of the building. By the time it closed in twenty eighteen, the station had gained a reputation as a grim, high-security fortress that stood in stark contrast to the surrounding neighborhood.
