You are looking at one of the most distinctive silhouettes in East London. High above the street, four vintage London Underground train carriages from the nineteen eighties rest on a weathered Victorian railway viaduct. These retired Jubilee line cars were hoisted into their lofty position by crane in two thousand and six to serve as creative studio spaces. They remain an iconic visual anchor for the area, standing in stark contrast to the modern buildings that now surround them.
