Gorilla Circus has operated its open-air flying trapeze school in Regent's Park since two thousand and nine. The school was founded by a former professional flying trapeze artist who wanted to make the circus arts accessible to the general public. Each summer, the team installs a full-size, bar-to-catcher rig in the park, transforming a corner of the landscape into a space for aerial training. Despite the name, no actual gorillas are involved in the instruction or performance.
