Gilman Playground sits at the intersection of Gilman and Ingerson Avenues and covers roughly five acres of land. The rubber surface across the modern play area features a detailed shoreline pattern. This design choice commemorates the fact that the park once sat directly along the edge of the San Francisco Bay before decades of land reclamation projects moved the waterfront further away.
