Beaver Street Wall

The Beaver Street Wall is a dramatic geological feature carved directly into the side of Corona Heights. This massive expanse of rock is a world-class example of a slickenside, a surface polished to a mirror-like finish by the intense friction of shifting tectonic plates. The quarrying operations that once harvested clay and chert from this hill unexpectedly revealed this vast, smooth face, which now ranks among the largest exposures of its kind in existence.
