Rainbow Honor Walk

The Rainbow Honor Walk is a collection of bronze plaques embedded directly into the sidewalks of the Castro district. Each marker serves as a permanent, street-level monument to a deceased LGBTQ individual who made significant contributions to their field and to history. As you walk, you will notice these plaques featuring a portrait, a brief biography, and an etching of the person's signature. This project functions as an evolving, open-air walk of fame that aims to educate passersby on the pioneers who shaped modern civil rights and culture.
