Corona Heights Park

The hill you are approaching was once known as Rock Hill, a name earned through its industrial past as a site for intensive quarrying and brick production. Starting in 1899, the Gray brothers operated a facility here that blasted away layers of the hill to supply materials for street paving and city construction. The operation left behind a scarred, rugged landscape that defined the terrain for decades until the city reclaimed the land for public use in 1941.
