Mural Cypress Street

landmark

Cypress Street is one of the many narrow, unassuming alleyways in the Mission District that function as a living, breathing outdoor gallery. While the nearby major streets feature more famous corridors like Balmy Alley, this street is part of a dense network of passages where the art is constantly evolving. You will notice that the garage doors, fences, and walls here serve as a rotating canvas for artists. Because of the high turnover, the specific murals you see today likely did not exist a few years ago and may be replaced by something entirely different in the near future. This makes the street a place of constant artistic experimentation rather than a static historical exhibit.
