Valencia Street station

The Valencia Street Station was once a vital railway hub located at the intersection of Twenty-Fifth and Valencia Streets. It opened in 1863 as the inaugural San Francisco terminal for the San Francisco and San Jose Railroad. In those early years, travelers embarking on the three and a half hour journey to San Jose boarded their trains here before the tracks were eventually extended closer to the city center.
