Bindlestiff Studio

Bindlestiff Studio began in 1989 as an experimental performance space founded by local theater artists. Its name refers to a Depression-era term for a hobo, someone who carried their worldly possessions in a bundle known as a bindle. In its earliest days, the site functioned as a gritty, informal storefront before transforming into the specialized cultural anchor it is today.
