Notorious LIC Park

Notorious LIC Park occupies a small but distinct slice of Long Island City, tucked directly between the infrastructure of the Pulaski Bridge overpass and the entrance to the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. Despite its unusual name, the park functions as a dedicated recreational space for the neighborhood, featuring a pair of handball courts and an asphalt basketball yard. The park received its current name in 2022 following a community naming contest. This site serves as a local anchor in a section of the city otherwise dominated by major transit arteries and industrial legacy.
