Benjamin N. Duke House

The Benjamin N. Duke House stands as a rare survivor from a time when Fifth Avenue was defined by private mansions rather than towering apartment buildings. Built between 1899 and 1901, this Beaux-Arts style residence was originally part of a speculative row of four luxury houses developed by brothers William and Thomas Hall. While its neighbors were demolished over the decades to make room for modern construction, this house remains, preserved as a New York City landmark.
