Café Le Cirio

The entrance of Café Le Cirio features a distinctive mosaic floor and dark, carved wood paneling that dates back to the eighteen eighties. Francesco Cirio, an Italian immigrant, opened this establishment to introduce his signature beverage, half-and-half, to the city. It remains a blend of white wine and sparkling wine, chilled and served in a specific glass. You can still see the original interior, where generations of regulars have gathered to drink their wine beneath the high ceilings and brass fixtures.
