Passage 125 Blaes

The narrow, brick facade at number one hundred twenty-five Rue Blaes is squeezed between much older storefronts. It wears a distinct, bright blue painted storefront that sets it apart from the gray stone of the neighborhood. This building served as the workshop for the furniture maker Pierre Celis, who crafted pieces for the local market during the early twentieth century. He lived on the upper floors with his family, carving wood in the back while the street bustle continued outside his door.
