The yellow brick facade of Satamakatu five stands out for its curved corner, which wraps neatly toward the harbor. Built in eighteen ninety-eight, the building served as a warehouse for the Finnish Steamship Company. Architect Gustaf Nystrom designed it to handle goods arriving by sea, with wide loading doors and sturdy internal structures to support heavy cargo. Today, the space houses offices, but those arched stone doorways and the heavy metal rings embedded in the exterior wall remain from its days as a port hub.
