“Gamin de Paris”- “Enter the Vortex” fresque murale de Seth (Julien Malland)

A young boy in a striped shirt sits on a stack of books, his head disappearing into a swirling, colorful vortex painted directly onto the side of the building. This mural by the street artist Julien Malland, known as Seth, stands five stories tall on the Rue Jeanne d'Arc. Malland often paints children who seem to be escaping into worlds of their own making. He finished this piece in two thousand thirteen, turning a blank, weathered wall into a portal for local residents.
