The Jardin Nicole Maestracci sits behind a high, weathered brick wall near the intersection of Rue de la Mare and Rue des Panoyaux. It occupies the former site of a dilapidated industrial workshop that residents campaigned to transform for years. In twenty twenty-two, the city inaugurated this green space, naming it for the late Nicole Maestracci, a judge who championed women's rights and prisoner welfare. The garden features stepped wooden terraces and a wild, unmanicured collection of native shrubs and trees.
