Studio Davout

The massive brick building on rue Davout served as the epicenter of French recording for decades. Once a Parisian tramway depot, the space became home to four distinct studios, including the legendary Studio A, where the soaring ceiling and acoustics drew artists like The Rolling Stones and Nina Simone. Engineers valued the cavernous room for its ability to capture complex orchestral arrangements. Despite its fame in the music industry, the owners shuttered the facility in twenty seventeen, leaving the site empty for redevelopment.
