Ancienne gare de Reuilly

historic

The old Reuilly station stands out for its tall, arched stone facade, which feels like a sudden slice of a country village tucked into the city streets. It served as a stop on the Vincennes line, connecting the city center to the eastern suburbs starting in eighteen fifty-nine. In the eighteen eighties, a train derailed here, smashing through the station wall and coming to a halt in the middle of the street, leaving the locomotive suspended halfway out of the building.
