Square Emily Dickinson

park garden

The Square Emily Dickinson sits tucked away at the corner of Rue des Pyrénées and Rue de la Chine. It features a bust of the American poet tucked behind a low iron fence, surrounded by benches and small patches of garden. The park serves as a green pause in a dense neighborhood. In the nineteen-eighties, a local group insisted on honoring the poet here, citing her correspondence with a French woman who lived on this very street. The bronze sculpture remains the centerpiece.
