Porte Molitor de Paris

Beneath the pavement near where you stand lies a silent, subterranean ghost of the Paris Metro system. Known as the Porte Molitor station, this transit hub was built with a grand central platform and intended to shuttle spectators directly to the nearby Parc des Princes stadium on match days. Despite being fully constructed, it never opened to the public and has remained completely inaccessible for nearly a century. Today, the station serves a far more utilitarian purpose as a storage siding for the city's fleet of metro trains, leaving its long, empty platform in perpetual stillness.
