Korean Garden

This garden was a gift from the City of Seoul to Paris in two thousand two, marking the tenth anniversary of the sister-city partnership between the two capitals. It occupies a space within the Jardin d Acclimatation that was designed to reflect traditional Korean landscape art. The layout includes specific architectural features such as a contemplative pavilion, stone arrangements symbolizing earth, and water elements intended to evoke a sense of harmony. The design intentionally avoids the formal, rigid trails often found in other garden styles, opting instead for a layout that portrays humans as a part of nature.
