Hôtel Arturo Lopez

historic

The Arturo Lopez mansion features a facade adorned with carved stone swags and tall, arched windows facing the park. Arturo Lopez-Willshaw, a Chilean millionaire and noted socialite, purchased the property in the nineteen twenties. He filled the residence with elaborate collections, including eighteenth century furniture and rare seashells. During the nineteen fifties, the house hosted lavish costume balls that attracted international elites. The town of Neuilly-sur-Seine eventually acquired the site to prevent its demolition and preserve the remaining gardens for public use.
