Château de Neuilly

The Château de Neuilly features a long, pale facade that stretches across the park, framed by rows of mature trees. King Louis Philippe lived here with his family before he ascended the throne, transforming the grounds into a private retreat where his children played. In eighteen forty-eight, during the revolution that ended his reign, a mob broke into the building. They burned the furniture, smashed the fine art, and drank the wine in the cellars, leaving the interior gutted.
