Tour First

Tour First dominates the skyline of the La Defense business district as the tallest skyscraper in France. Its current form is the result of an ambitious four-year transformation that concluded in 2011. Rather than demolishing the original 1974 structure, engineers stripped the tower down to its metal framework and essentially built a new, much taller skyscraper around the existing core. This major surgery allowed the building to grow from 159 meters to 231 meters, drastically altering its silhouette while keeping the base intact.
