The Epsilon Studio occupies a quiet corner in Neuilly-sur-Seine, hidden behind a nondescript facade that betrays nothing of the soundscapes created within. Vangelis built this private creative sanctuary in the nineteen seventies to record the massive, sweeping synthesizers that defined his work on Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire. He designed the control room to feel like a cockpit, surrounding himself with banks of keyboards and custom patch bays that allowed him to conduct his electronic orchestras in complete isolation from the outside world.
