Parc Kellermann

park garden

Parc Kellermann rests directly on the former path of the Bievre River. This small tributary of the Seine was buried underground throughout the twentieth century to make way for urban growth, and today its presence is marked only by the park's low-lying gardens and decorative water features. Where a working river once flowed, you now find a carefully landscaped transition from an upper, art moderne plateau to a lush, lower basin that mirrors the valley the river carved centuries ago.
